Actually, while Anna did not ride today, and therefore we must call it a rest day, we were pretty busy for most of the day. Cleaned the caravan, cleaned the truck, washed the sheets and lots of clothes, trip to Bunnings for a few bits and pieces – I suddenly woke up remembering that I had forgotten to bring any hose clamps. Not that we need any right now but ….. We also went to BigW and bought some flouro gear and long sleeved white T-shirts for Anna to ride in as the weather heats up, which it is already doing. It’s currently about 26 in the caravan at 4.30 pm. In the Southern Highlands, at home, it’s currently 10 and pissing rain according to Willy Weather.
Tomorrow it’s supposed to rain all day here – so that will be the first of that kind of challenge. But we have spent a good part of the day thinking about the fairly extreme heat she is likely to have to cope with as we head down the west coast and then across the bloody Nullarbor in January!! However, there’s a long way to go before we get there and the Tropic of Capricorn beckons for our first crossing of it this week.
